O Blog Daemonium que celebra o seu 3º aniversário, resolveu, na pessoa do Hugo Guerreiro fazer uma pequena entrevista aos Thee Orakle para comemorar uma semana de lançamento de "Metaphortime"!

The vocals are the typical “beauty and the beast” style, but they go well with the music. The guitar melodies are top notch, and you can even hear the bass guitar highlighted in some songs. All band members are very good at their instruments and they excel in creating music that sounds like it came from a band with a longer musical trajectory. Tim Vervaeke da THOUGHTS OF METAL da Bélgica já tendo feito Review ao Ep "Secret" não hesitou em apreciar este nosso Metaphortime praticamente faixa por faixa!

Aqui apresentamos um excerto da longa dissertação do Tim:

(...) "After the demo in 2005 THEE ORAKLE released the "Secret" EP, which showed a band that knew where to go, even if not all songs were equally good. The production wasn't a very helpful element either, but all that has been dealt with on "Metaphortime", the band's debut album. The sound is so much better, the compositions dito and the overall musicianship took a (big) jump forward as well. The PARADISE LOST influences are still present, but as you could read in the beginning, there are other Gothic bands that came into view as comparable material. Nevertheless, THEE ORAKLE have progressed and the time has come to startcrossing the borders of Portugal into foreign lands to help spread the word about Portuguese Metal and THEE ORAKLE in particular. "Metaphortime", for fans of Gothic/Doom Metal with a good symphonic touch, although the Doom aspect has faded, yet still lingers here and there. As far as lists are concerned, this is one of the surprises of 2009."

A recente edição #98 da Loud! (Abril) fez uma entrevista aos Thee Orakle e fez também a Review ao álbum "Metaphortime".

Ricardo Agostinho diz, entre muitas outras coisas que:

(...) " Concluída a primeira audição dos dez temas, começa por imperar a desilusão face à tendência demasiado óbvia e revisitada da música da banda. No entanto, dada a devida insistência a um disco que apela a isso mesmo, os pequenos pormenores que fazem os grandes discos começam a revelar-se e "Metaphortime" começa a ganhar proporções hercúleas. Afinal o que parecia um vulgar disco de death metal gótico com a mais do que batida dualidade vocal masculina/feminina acaba por crescer na complexidade das suas estruturas musicais que quanto mais se ouvem mais crescem dentro do ouvinte." "São de Trás-os-Montes e assinam um dos mais impressionantes registos deste ano de 2009. Pedro Silva, o vocalista da banda, respondeu-nos e esclareceu-nos sobre todo o mundo mágico que rodeia os Thee Orakle.

Como está a ser a preparação da apresentação ao vivo de Metaphortime. O que podem os vossos fãs esperar?
Eles sabem que nós andamos aí e se não fosse por eles ninguém andava na estrada para dar concertos, onde as distâncias se encurtam e as bandas se aproximam do público. Podem contar como sempre com a melhor performance possível e atitude de quem quer passar uma mensagem a nível temático e musical, como se fazem coisas boas no metal nacional. Aguardem por nós. "Thee Orakle features is a very professional sounding band from Portugal. After releasing the first full length "Metaphortime" we where able to get a hold of the band to hear what they have to say about their latest release and their musical trayectory in general.

I.M: How would you describe “Metaphortime”? Are you satisfied with the end result? If you could, what would you do to improve the album?

“Metaphortime” it’s our gold mine. We all appreciate to much this work and we are in every ways very satisfied with the result. The recordings were just amazing, the mixture and final production where just like we wanted with Daniel Cardoso (UltraSoundStudios, Head Control System) and the Artwork by Phobos Anomaly matched perfectly with the pictures we had in our heads!
If we could, maybe we would change some little parts, but nothing special because we like it like it is!(...)"

The album contains enough diversity, both between and within the different songs themselves, to draw your attention and keep your ears glued to the stereo throughout the entire CD. It looks like the band took their time to come up with their first full length album, but this can only be admired as their patience results in very high quality. Nothing sounds rushed and there are no filler songs on the album. Every song is worked out in a lot of detail and you can tell they put in a lot of effort to create the final product!(...)"

Voltando às críticas feitas espontaneamente ou não...O Cameraman Metálico deu a sua opinião acerca de "Metaphortime" na sua zine HARD'n'HEAVY...

THEE ORAKLE - "Metaphortime"
CD Recital Records 2009

Estes amigos são portugueses e assinaram o ano passado contracto com a independente Recital Records.
O álbum de estreia tem nove faixas e um curto intro acima da média! A banda socorre-se de dois vocalistas Pedro Silva usa a voz gutural (sem ser agressiva) e Micaela Cardoso canta as partes melódicas, numa mistura agradável secundada por uma excelente técnica. A formação compreende ainda dois guitarristas, teclista, baixista e baterista.
O álbum foi gravado nos Ultrasound Studios pelo produtor Daniel Cardoso e masterizado pelo próprio. Os temas ouvem-se bem e o destaque vai para “All Way Down”, “Ghost Memories”, “Quimera”, “Alchemy Awke” com Yossi dos Orphaned Land, e o instrumental “Feeling Superior Knowledge”.
A banda tocou recentemente em Castro Verde promovendo este disco.

This also means that it is one that I am going to want to keep coming back to, the mark of a good album in my book. The depth is not only within the music but also the album title, the booklet artwork and lyrics have a lot of substance about them as well. Alchemy, some symbols that are recognisable, a song called ‘The Great Masterpiece’ I am beginning to gain knowledge of an arcane concept at play here! The other thing about this is that it’s one of those albums that is in a way unique and one that I am not going to be name dropping other bands into the review as there are no obvious comparisons here.
