No dia 18 de Setembro de 2010, realizou-se a segunda edição da Next Level, um evento nascido da parceria entre as promotoras Garagem e Yellow-Stripe. A primeira edição contou com a sua realização no Porto Rio, já esta simbolizou o “renascer”dos eventos no teatro Sá da Bandeira, local de culto para alguns dos ravers. Os convidados para este evento foram Erb n Dub, Dj Hype acompanhado do Mc Daddy Earl, Prolix e Hallucinator; a acompanhar os internacionais estiveram os Portugueses Subway, Dkaos, Dogz United e Evil Pupil.
Como já é habitual a noite foi aberta por um b2b de Dogz United com Evil Pupil,seguido da actuação de Subway. Há que salientar as duas horas e meia de grande qualidade musical, em jeito de cerimónia de reabertura, infelizmente poucos podem contar que presenciaram tal momento, pois a sala principal foi um autentico deserto, visto que durante este tempo o público andava pela zona do bar e pelas bancadas, mas a entrada de Erb n Dub rapidamente mudou a maré.
A sua entrada fez com que uma multidão aparecesse do nada, um teatro abandonado rapidamente se encheu de cor e movimento para apoiar a actuação de Erb n Dub.Este apresentou aos ravers um set completamente explosivo, em que músicas não faltaram, todas elas emergindo subitamente e fazendo o teatro oscilar ao som da música. Uma brilhante actuação sem dúvida.
Ao passar o testemunho ao veterano Dj Hype, o sistema de som decide dar um pouco de brilho a Mc Daddy Earl, que enquanto esperava pelo arranjo do som fez o publico fervilhar. Garra não lhe falta, um verdadeiro mago do microfone, provou logo ao inicio que estava pronto para acompanhar um dos maiores nomes do género. Hype decidiu não fazer por menos e dar a Daddy Earl algo pelo qual gritar; o resultado foi uma sinergia incrível entre Dj e Mc, com um reviver de sons antigos acompanhados pelas batidas energéticas do presente. Pode não ter sido uma actuação de luxo, mas fez o teatro abanar!
Prolix tinha em mãos a difícil tarefa de manter a qualidade que se tinha visto até à sua actuação, de facto não desiludiu, muito pelo contrário, estabeleceu a ponte entre as actuações de Erb n Dub e Hype, cheias de batidas energéticas e alegres, e a actuação de peso que Hallucinator iria proporcionar. A cada faixa era cada vez injectada mais potencia nas colunas, o chão tornou-se um trampolim, onde mesmo sem querer, todos eram obrigados a mexer. Nota muito positiva para Prolix, que escolheu um set muito sólido para o tipo de noite em que se inseriu.
Como se de Jason Voorhees se tratasse, Hallucinator tomou de assalto os decks do teatro, num momento em que existia um verdadeiro mar de gente no Sá da Bandeira. O cenário mudou completamente de figura, as batidas energéticas foram rapidamente abatidas pelo bombardeamento que Hallucinator trouxe a seu comando.O seu set pode ser descrito como uma verdadeira guerra, onde centenas marcharam cegamente como marionetas, talvez o melhor set da noite, deu o sabor que estava a faltar ao evento.
Quem teve a tarefa de fechar a noite foi Dkaos, que veio continuar com a destruição que Hallucinator tinha começado, infelizmente este só teve a oportunidade de mostrar trinta minutos da sua magia, mas mesmo assim fez o que tinha a fazer,como os ravers já estão habituados. Os relógios marcavam 7:30 quando as luzes se acenderam e todos pediam em uníssono que a festa não terminasse. É agora momento de preparar forças para a próxima terceira edição da Next Level.
